Hair Care Products

Everyone wants to make sure that their hair is in the best possible condition, though keeping up with it can prove to be laborious. Even still, it’s very important, as it’s something that will be prominently displayed. It’s just as important as teeth, and considering the amount of care that needs to go into teeth, nearly as much attention should be paid to the hair. Unless a person wears a baseball cap for a lot of their lives, people are definitely going to be looking at it a lot. It’s for that reason that hair care products are absolutely crucial a person’s health, and there are a number of things that a person should keep on hand.

Outside of the standards – shampoo and conditioner, most people will do well by having some other things, too. The amount of care will generally differ depending on the sex that you are, there are a couple of things that most people consider to be unisex. Styling gel (or cream) is vitally important men and women with short hair, though there are a whole host of people who could benefit from it, regardless of the length or type of hair that you may have. Both could also possibly benefit from a dry shampoo, or even assorted oils that have the ability to add a good amount of shine. And who can possibly forget about brushes?

Proper hair care is very important, and unfortunately, there aren’t nearly as many people who take it as seriously as they should. With some nice and healthy hair, there’s a very good chance that you will feel healthier, cleaner, and a lot more confident. And with there being much in the way of proficient hair care products available – now more than ever – it’s not hard to find some cost-effective products that have the ability to invigorate everyone’s life.

Wedding Outfit Guidance

A wedding is one of the most special days in anyone’s life so it is important that you are properly dressed for it. This goes for everyone; regardless of if you are in the bridal party, a family member or if you have just been invited. However, planning and picking out wedding outfits can be tricky, that being said there are a few things that you can do which can help make it easier and also help you dress for the occasions.
The timing of the wedding is important when it comes to your choice of outfit and the colours involved. If the wedding is being held in the winter months then you will want to wear colours such as purples and blues etc… these compliment the time of year however they are also very wedding friendly if you will and won’t stand out. If the wedding is being held in the summer or even in the spring then lighter colours are the order of the day and the likes of yellows etc… are really what is needed here as they give off a summery feeling.
What you also have to remember is that the outfit itself does not just end with the dress or the dress jacket. Indeed, your hat, your bag and your jewellery all come into the equation when it comes to picking out an outfit for a wedding. They all need to complement each other and blend in so don’t wear a blue dress then wear lots of green jewellery as this is just going to clash. However, once you start you will realise that finding items of clothing and accessories to complement your dress is relatively easy and as long as you keep to the colours of the season and the rest of your outfit then you will be dressed for the occasion.

Why Are People Choosing Tungsten?

If you are in the market for a new piece of jewelry or even a wedding ring then you will no doubt have sought the advice of friends and family. In these circumstances the usual choices of gold or silver come up but the fact is that many people are moving away from these more ‘traditional’ materials and instead turning to durable tungsten jewelry. But why is this? Why are people now more likely to choose tungsten as their material of choice?

Well, for a start, the material is highly strong and durable. Indeed, it is even stronger than the likes of gold and silver and this goes for both its cosmetic dimensions and also the material itself. If you have ever worn a gold ring then you will notice that it tends to get discoloured and losing its shine over time and to keep it in the same condition takes regular maintenance and work however with tungsten this is not the case and it remains as strong and as cosmetically pleasing years and years after you have purchased it. In fact, most pieces of jewelry that have been made from this material with be entirely scratch resistant and will take a humongous effort to do any damage to them.

Indeed, what some people find with other materials is that their skin can have an allergic reaction to them after time because they are not used to coming in contact with that material. Tungsten is hypoallergenic meaning that it is very unlikely you will develop any sort of irritation or reaction to the material itself and there you do not have to worry about wearing the jewelry. Overall it is easy to see why tungsten is fast replacing the likes of gold and silver and the number one choice for jewelry.

Tangerine Tango Named 20120 Color Of The Year

In 2012, expect many fashion lines and models to sport the color Tangerine Tango which was chosen by Pantone Color Institute as the color of the year. The color was chosen because fashion experts felt that it encourages others to take action. It’s a color of courage and perseverance. With the recent economic hardships, and other social challenges, the Pantone Color Institute felt that a color of encouragement was most needed to help turn things around within the industry.

The process of choosing a color takes many things into consideration. The Institute looks at what emotions colors can trigger. They also look at trends throughout various mediums like media, business and more.
Last year’s color was a pink color called Honeysuckle. The tangerine tango is definitely a sharp contrast of the pink color as Pantone declared they didn’t want another color that was calm and relaxing. Tangerine Tango has already sprung up in various fashion shows as models and fashion designers are pushing the color of the year. Shows from London to America already showcased their 2012 spring and summer lines.
Models at these shows are sporting the orange color on everything from dresses to shoes. However, there’s doubt that this color will be successful if used in makeup.

The Pantone Color Institute is the leading authority on colors. They serve as a source of inspiration and motivation to fashion lines and designers. Their expertise is sought after and their color of the year dominated fashion trend all over the globe.

3 New Designers Welcomed to Portland’s Fashion Week

Portland’s Fashion Week has long been a stage for emerging designers to showcase their styles and new ranges and the 2011 event is no different as it welcomes 3 new up-and-coming fashion designers and hopes to propel them onto a wider audience.

The House of Gunter is somewhat unique in that it produces it clothes from vegetable dyes and recyclable polyester. Mihaela Munteanu’s range, Mootness, is another debutant to the fashion week and her swimwear pieces gained some valuable attention during the 7 day event. Indeed, Munteanu revealed that she is already experiencing an increase in both interest and sales from the Portland event and that her inspiration for the Mootness range came from being unable to find or see a well designed and elegant range of swimwear in the northwest.

Finally Sandy Varzarschi revealed her second location for her label Silkwood that specialises in clothes for women and children. Varzarschi only began designing clothes under her own name earlier on this year and used the Portland Fashion Week to gain some much needed exposure and overall she said that it has been a very rewarding experience and has greatly improved her reputation and image within the Portland and northwest fashion scene.

German Designer Shows Off Unique Fabric

If we were to think of some fabrics that make up an item of clothing then cotton or silk or something along those lines would instantly spring to mind; but milk? Anke Domaske, a German micro-biologist and fashion designer, has come up with the new and revolutionary method of creating the clothes for Domaske’s high-profile range.

The new range, called Qmilch, begins by being drawn from Casein, a protein in milk that is taken directly from dried milk powder. Then she heats it up and spins it into the fabric that is used for the Qmilch range. Indeed, Domaske herself reveals that there are no added chemicals to her range of clothes and that they can all be washed and dried in the usual way without any special treatment or cleaners. However what is unique about this bizarre range other than the fact that it will be the first range of designer clothing made from milk?

Domaske discloses that, not only is her range unique and different, but that it also has some health benefits as well. She claims that the range helps to boost blood circulation however she doesn’t go into any detail as to how this actually works. Furthermore, her clothes do not have a sell by date even though it is made from a milk based extract. That being said it is a bizarre and strange range of clothing although, in an industry that is obsessed with uniqueness and prides itself on being different, one can see how the Domaske range will really take off.

Former Marketing Graduate Looks To Female Sports Fans

Samantha Lloyd, a fashion marketing graduate from the University of Nottingham, is one half that has launched a new fashion company – flag-rags.com – and it is gaining a lot of press attention in France. The 24 year old recently moved to Paris in a bid to improve her French and quickly got a job working at a British Pub in Saint Germain en Laye. The owner Gina Goulding had come up with the idea, some years earlier, of making dresses in the style of English flags for sporting competitions and it is from here that Lloyd took the inspiration for Flag Rags.

The underlining reason was that there is a large gap in the market for clothes for female sports fans. Indeed, Goulding pointed out that often the only option for female sporting clothing is wearing a small sized men’s rugby top; however with Flag Rags they both hope that this is about to change. Their range currently accommodates the countries of the 6 nations (England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France and Italy) however there are plans to expand this in time for the 2012 London Olympics and Lloyd admits that they are getting requests from all over the world to have their countries flag made into a stylish dress.

Lloyd, who previously had an internship with top fashion label Versace, admits that helping to run her own company means that she can be involved with so much more within the business and, with all the attention Flag Rags is receiving; it looks as if the business will only grow and grow.

US Style Guru Criticises Kate Middleton And Cheryl Cole

To millions across the globe, both Kate Middleton and Cheryl Cole are two of the most well known fashion icons and have literally millions of fans all over the world; however, Mary Portas, star of Mary Queen of Shops, has revealed this week that she wholeheartedly disagrees with the opinion that they queens of style. The former fashion advisor has recently went mainstream herself and has already starred in two reality programs detailing her fashion experiences and advice.

The outspoken American has launched an attack on the assumption that the Duchess of Cambridge and world superstar Cheryl Cole should be regarded as fashion icons. Portas especially went after Cole following her debut on the US version of X Factor. She suggested that what Cole wore that night was ‘really wrong’ and that her massive hair was fundamentally an incorrect look for Cole who has a small body and only stands at 5 foot 3 inches.

Portas was somewhat more respectful towards Kate Middleton who married Prince William in April of this year. While, Portas admitted, Kate has done a great job globally in her responsibilities and duties as part of the British royal family; she doesn’t understand how the 29 year old Duchess is regarded as a style icon for millions around the world. Portas, however, did not expand greatly in regards to Middleton although it is clear that she doesn’t think much of her dress sense or that she is bringing anything new and exciting to the world of fashion.
